Explorer, Conservationist, Guide, Mentor and Speaker
Grant is a former engineer turned adventurer.
After four years working as a civil engineer Grant resigned from the corporate life to pursue his dream to walk the entire coastline of South Africa.
This epic solo journey aimed to raise awareness on coastal conservation issues. The Six Million Steps project, as it was called, took over eight months, during which Grant walked over 3 500 km.
After completing this expedition in 2014 Grant went on to train and qualify as a mountain guide. He has since been freelancing as an outdoor educator, hiking guide and expedition leader; both locally and internationally.
Grant continues to develop his passion for nature, wildlife and wild spaces and is currently working towards obtaining a field guiding qualification.
This will fulfil his childhood dream of becoming a “game ranger”!
